A memory behind the music
This song reminds me of at least one summer in high school. I think that's when this song came out. God it was hot back in those summers. something like 38 degrees (but thankfully zero humidity due to this being a dry dry desert). I didn't have a huge number of friends at that time, I wasn't quite ready to drive yet. I hadn't quite figured out who i should be hanging out in high school. I think my friends were sorta brash slacker heavy metal guys (one of which I ran into 15 years later when he was working a cash register at GameStop). They didn't like this song. But I did. that's probably why pretty soon I stopped being friends with those guys and started hanging out with a whole new group of friends. A group of friends that would later let me semi live at their places. Friends where we'd go on little road trips and sing some of the songs later in this playlist. Friends i'd go to live shows with. Friends i'd have a crush on. This song probably started that turning point for me.
