A memory behind the music
When I was living in Seattle the second time around, I wanted to try going sailing. I still didn't have many friends I could just call up to go sailing with me so I figured i"d try to find a place that would rent out a single person sail boat that I could handle by myself. So on a cold sorta rainy day I found a place not too far from University of Washington and wanted to do the skill test needed to take out a boat. At UCLA I'd already done this with basic 4 person dingys that needed two people. So at this place I figured I could totally handle this single person mini catamaran boat. And god I was so horribly wrong. I was able to sorta get the bout out in to the water just fine but I had no idea how the two back fins worked so while sitting in the cold water I just kept trying to fix the fins over and over and over and failing. And then when that finally sorta worked I was fine at turning the boat left and right. But sailing isn't about going left and right, its about recovering when the boat tips over. So I had to capsize the boat. Capsizing it went fine but when trying to bring the boat right side back up i just so totally failed. It was cold, rainy, and a bit windy and I kept trying to pull the boat back up with the sailings lifting up into the wind, the absolute worst thing you could do when trying to fix a boat. Obviously i failed.
