A memory behind the music
This is honestly one of the harder songs to listen to on this playlist. I've been listening to Bright Eyes (or Conor Oberst, the lead singer) since I was something like 17. And I even saw him play this live in San Diego a very very long time ago. It was a great experience that made living in San Diego, where I was sleeping behind my friends couch and going to school right after stocking Target shelves all night, not too bad. But why is this song hard to listen to? Its the song I listen to every single time I wait for you at the airport. Because its a song that remembers how I used to feel before I met you. And how I feel about you now. Its the song that makes more than ready to spend an entire day at Narita while you're flights are both delayed and wildly rerouted. Its such a simple and sweet song. And I think every bit of it is true.
