A memory behind the music
I had to pick this song not because it's uniquely grate or anything but I had already selected an Explosions in the Sky song and this band is very tightly associated with Explosions in the Sky for me. Explosions in the Sky released an album that's super great, second only to The Earth is not a cold dead place, and Four Tet was part of a remix of that Explosions in the Sky Album. The remix is something I listened to over and over. I listened to it as me and my Buddhist club friends would do a night long relay race with us taking turns napping in a tent and hanging out. I especially listened to that remix album while reading His Dark Materials after Francie introduced me to the book series. I even listened to the album while in a park in San Francisco, I'm pretty sure it was Duboce Park, while my friend Jay was getting a tattoo that just took forever. It was a good album for reading magical stories and pining for someone to be in love with.
