Free Fallin'

You know Tom Petty right? This is one of Scott Galloway's most favorite musicians. He's a classic. I've been listening to him since I think i was 4 years old or something. Honestly I've listened to him for as long as I can remember anything. And this song....its classic Los Angeles. Originally i picked this song because I wanted a classic LA road trip play list and so much of this song is about parts of LA (like Reseda and Ventura Blvds) that were core to my youth. But then listening to the song I realized the playlist needed to be different. I realized the playlist needed to be about the songs I've listened to before I met you. In part because some of the songs are great, in part because those songs explain what I used to do and like, but more because those songs help me remember past stages of my life that don't vividly come into my memory otherwise. I'm not like other people. I don't remember my past with vivid images or a nice clear chronological story about what happened. I remember things by feeling them. No visuals...no clear ordering of what happened...just...the feelings I had back then and a very vague recollection of where those feelings came from. But with this play list and every little entry here I hope to at least revive some of those memories and mysteries for you.
