I See the Light

This I think is the oldest Disney Princess movie that I super love. I would watch it fairly often back in Grad School when Dan and I were dating. Something about the story really felt right and inspiring. But I think a really big part was this song. Its inspiring for both the two characters, Rapunzel and Flynn, as they realize how their life is a little bit better after meeting each other. I wanted that to be true. Dating Dan it wasn't quite true. I cared for her but I think this song really made me hope that I would feel that way eventually. I'd later listen to this in my lonelier days trying to date in Tokyo. Through all that time I wondered what it would feel like to truly get what they're both singing about...what the light really looks like. But now I actually know what that light looks like....what the shifted world feels like.
