A memory behind the music
I think sometime in my first year at UCLA I made a roadtrip to San Francisco with my friend Jay. Jay was that friend who let me live in his family spare room on and off when I had no where else to live or when everyone else was on holiday. But this time we were going to San Francisco to visit his long distance girlfriend. She was going to San Francisco State University and living in those apartments near that big target next to the mall. The place next to where you had Poke while I was dropping off a U-Haul. We stayed sleeping on the couch in her apartment that had a great view over southern west San Francisco. Jay and I would go over to Haight Ashbury so he could get a really cool Tattoo. And we'd generate hang out and explore SF a bit with his girlfriend. They didn't really last that long but they always kept in touch for a while after that. And years later when she'd finished undergrad and gone to Humbolt State University even further up north i'd sleep on her couch a couple times while driving from Los Angeles to Seattle.
