A memory behind the music
The singer behind this band you're probably familiar with. He's the singer behind Postal Service. I never really liked this album, its one of their weaker albums. But the band is a group i've listened to since i was 16 or 17. It reminds me of when I was living at my friend Nick's house. This was shortly after my parents divorced. My Dad tried to get me to move into a house in Simi Valley that he'd pay for and that I could live in when I eventually went to UCLA. But after moving a ton of my stuff there I realized it was a trap. It was a way he'd control me and make me do what he wanted. So i abanonded nearly all my stuff, really anything that couldn't fit in my tiny Acura Integra, and moved to my friend Nick's house. I lived on his couch for a month with my four or so boxes of life stuff just sitting in his family's garage. It seems sad and dark but we had some fun hanging out then. We'd hang out at his house with our other friends, play video games, chat, stay up late and talk shit. But I was there sleeping on the couch, waking up to work a few hours, then going off to community college at night and finally coming home to repeat this all over again. That was a rough month.
