A memory behind the music
I saw this band live in Downtown LA, near Korea Town, with my friend. I forgot his name but we'd hang out a lot in high school. He was the drummer for a high school band called 747. He was a quiet guy, not the rockstar kind of guy. So we'd hang out sometimes when we were bored and go to Guitar Center and just play around with music instruments we could never afford. And I think he was one of my few friends that also loved Jimmy Eat World. This was before this album actually came out and the band got really popular. We were into Jimmy Eat World when they were kinda uncool. So when the chance came to see them in concern he seemed like the only obvious friend to go with. None of the girls we were each into wanted to go since the guys in Jimmy Eat World weren't particularly attractive and the songs weren't poppy punk enough. So it was just us two dudes at the Wiltern enjoying some good emo punk.
