A memory behind the music
This is by far the funniest band i've ever seen. They actually were behind a kids show called Yo Gabba Gabba that featured Frodo (the actor really, not the hobbit). But really what I remember from this song, and the full album its on, is walking around Taiwan. It was my third visit in i think three of four months. Why did i go so often? Well someone I previously dated in San Francisco was now living there and she was kind of giving hints that she liked me so it seemed like a worthwhile idea to visit a few times. So I'd scheduled a long weekend, was hoping to hang out with her, and then things just didnt work at all. She wasn't that into me and would much rather I went off and spent the weekend doing my own thing. So I walked in the sorta cold rainy streets of Taipei. I listened to this song to console myself as I walked from the major shopping areas down to the Chiang Kai Shek museum and the Sun-yat Sen museums. I'd walk around them by myself, wanting someone to be there. I walked around wanting to feel super rad.
