A memory behind the music
Me, Derek, and Tim would hang out a lot in high school. And one day when i was trying to get a cool mall job I was putting in an application to Hot Topic. Hot Topic was the "cool" store that sold metal band t-shirts, dark eye liner, dark purple hair dye, and ear piercings for teenagers. It was "cool". and i was so excited to try and work there. But Derek, being Derek ruined everything. Right after I handed in my application and we were about to leave the staff came up to Derek and caught him for shop lifting something incredibly dumb and stupid. And obviously that lost me the job. Maybe I would have gotten it otherwise, who would ever know, but now I totally would not be getting the job. And so I was pretty pissed at Derek. So fucking mad at him for losing me the chance to even interview a job that I thought was pretty cool. And so as I drove the three of us back home from the Thousand Oaks mall I played this song. This song was always kind of weird. The lyrics...don't..exactly make sense. And its very angry. But that's how i felt, kind of messy, kind of confusing. And generally just full of feelings.
