The Story
A memory behind the music
This is such a high school song. Its popular in a lot of movies, especially moves in the last twenty years since Elliott Smith died. But I listened to it in High School with my buddy Tim. We'd listen to it at his family house where they had a barely working computer and Tim's brother was an art school student that made movies about guys that just walked in straight lines. We'd listen to it just after watching Dragon Ball Z on Cartoon Network in the programming right after high school got out. We'd listen to it while driving to theme parts or on the way to movie pre-screenings in Westwood (at the lonely theater still next to UCLA with just one screen). And all along it's such a sweet song about a guy realizing what the world could look like through someone else's eyes.
