The Story
A memory behind the music
When my friends and I were driving up from San Diego for our visit with Tim, all of southern california caught fire. We were driving up from San Diego and passing by DIsney land when we noticed ash was falling from the sky. It looked like gray snow, but it was so warm that it couldn't possibly be snow. It was only as we got closer to Los Angeles that we realized it was ash. Burning Ash. So thick it fell like snow in a medium sized storm. As we got closer and closer to home, passing up through the San Fernando Valley we found out that the main highway home was 100% shut off. The only way home was through a narrow windy mountain pass that itself was partially on fire. But we had to get home so we took the only option possible. And as we drove we got closer and closer to the giant mushroom shaped cloud of smoke sitting onto of our suburban home. Our hometown was basically in the center of a small valley, sort of like a crater. A nice near perfect circle of mountains. So that cloud of ash just sat perfectly on top, occluding everything and making a true disaster movie like experience.
